"Tools of the Trade" Postcard

$3.00

4” × 6” Postcard Print

This postcard features a linocut ink prints by Alum Cal Dagner! Cal, a 2024 Apprentice at Glidden Point Oyster Farms in Glidden Point, ME, writes:

“I was inspired by the repetition of the different tools we used during our time on the farm and old botanical posters when creating this piece. I liked the idea that even our gloves which we wore every day could be presented as unique and important. I carved these stamps in the evening with a headlamp as we had no electricity and often found ourselves using the time to be creative and reflect on our days. The challenge of capturing the tiny details and doing everything in reverse was meditative: the fine mesh of the oyster bag was especially soothing to carve. Now I enjoy wearing my shirt and remembering the little things about our time farming oysters for a summer in Maine.”
